Celebrating Earth Day through the Wonder of Stories

April 1, 2022 – Victorias City, Negros Occidental; April 22, 2022 – Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro

The climate crisis is an important issue that children should not be excluded from discussing. This is why we are delighted to have collaborated with Project EVE: Empowering Volunteers for Education, Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan (KAPAKA), and the EACY Club to advocate for our Mother Earth by sharing copies of “I Am The Change in Climate Change”.

Project EVE prepared a fun storytelling session, followed by an educational activity from the CANVAS book for the kids of Barangay 19, Victorias City. Hopefully, this experience will stay with the kids forever and inspire them to come up with creative ways to address the climate crisis.

Kabataan Para Sa Kalikasan (KAPAKA) and EACY Club also distributed over 1,000 copies of “I Am The Change in Climate Change” in one of the top diving destinations in the Philippines, Puerto Galera! They organized a workshop for volunteer storytellers as part of their campaign to educate youth about climate literacy and plastic pollution.

Through these partnerships, we witness how hope for a sustainable future is ignited across the generations learning about the urgency of the climate crisis.
