1M Books Joins the National Museum’s Lakbay Museo Series

Despite physical restrictions brought on by the pandemic, we must not allow children to miss out on the chance to learn. Under quarantine, CANVAS took part in the Lakbay Museo Series of the National Museum of the Philippines via Zoom.

The National Museum of Natural History’s Lakbay Kalikasan: An Awareness Tour aimed to increase children’s understanding of Earth, the home we live in, and to teach them our role as responsible stewards of our natural heritage. It was very fitting that we gave each participant our book on environmental education, “I Am The Change in Climate Change”.

As children gained hands-on experience working on artistic projects related to nature and the environment, the accompanying workshops stimulated their imagination and inspired creativity. Despite being held online, the event provided children with an immersive chance to learn about the museum's treasures and natural history.

We are grateful to the National Museum of Natural History for the opportunity to explore new experiences when it comes to our bookgiving mission.
