New year, new books in Jose, Nueva Ecija schools

January 21, 2026 — San Jose, Nueva Ecija

The Book Nook SDO San Jose City started 2026 with two book-giving events in their local schools. 215 students from Naglaoag Elementary School and San Raymundo Elementary School, from kinder to 6th grade, received copies of Ang Pusang Kartero and Safe Space.

Book Nook San Jose prepared a day of storytelling and pencil-giving to go with their new books.

Students in these schools were happy to be gifted books of their own. Most of them live far from the city proper, where their reading center is located. One book in their homes can make a world of difference.

(We are very grateful for the books given to us. Because of this, we are encouraged to read and learn. These books will guide us in school and our dreams.)
