CANVAS books added to Book Nook in Alcala, Pangasinan

In celebration of Children’s Month in November, Book Nook Alcala implemented their Huwarang Alcala Purok Aklatan Program, where they aimed to bring books closer to the children of their municipality.

Book Nook Alcala distributed CANVAS books to two schools, namely Alcala Central School and San Juan Elementary School, and two communities, namely Barangay Kisikis and Barangay Poblacion East.

The program reached 300 kids, and they were not only given books; they participated in storytelling sessions and seminars combating Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC).

CANVAS’ new readers learned a lot through the activities, and they were pleased with their books. Alice, a student from Alcala Central School and officer of Book Nook Alcala, said that the book was beautifully designed and easy to understand.
