Books aren’t just learning materials found in classrooms and libraries; they bring refuge and amusement in unlikely places. Little Ark Foundation (LAF) partnered with CANVAS to donate a set of books to the National Children’s Hospital. LAF supports young patients going through cancer treatment and has partnered with the National Children’s Hospital since 2024.
The new books were placed in the LAF Activity Corner in the hospital. Soon enough, children who participated in the program last May 22 were found flipping through the books. These patients fight difficult battles against cancer and blood diseases. LAF also prepared a day of art activities and a simple gathering over food.
These books have kept the company of 80 kids, along with more patients, friends, and family members.
