Manila City — The Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development (CANVAS) and FairBuilding Network held a forum for construction companies and suppliers last October 29, 2025 at Galleries XXV–XXVI of the National Museum of Fine Arts.

FairBuilding Network connects industry partners to social developers and nonprofits with construction projects. FairBuilding provides opportunities for these suppliers to utilize services and excess materials in building more spaces for communities in need.

The engagement forum was held to bridge potential collaborations in the construction of Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art. Tumba-Tumba is CANVAS’ open-air museum situated in Ibaan, Batangas. Learn more about it here.

CANVAS Executive Director Gigo Alampay introduced CANVAS and Tumba-Tumba to representatives of eight different industry partners. The discussion led to an open forum on plans and needs for the museum's construction.

Participants toured the Twenty Years of Art and Stories before the event concluded.

The FairBuilding Network is a free online platform that connects Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs) working on building projects and social housing to suppliers, contractors, architects, and engineers who are willing to help.

A non-profit that works with the creative community to promote literacy and explore national identity, CANVAS publishes its award-winning children's stories and donates their books to benefit children in public schools and poor communities throughout the Philippines. Its “One Million Books for One Million Filipino Children Campaign” promotes independent reading and creative thinking in Filipino children, while also exposing them to the best of contemporary Filipino art and literature.
