Seduction
by Zarah Gagatiga
Your heart beats a thousand gallops
Like a startled horse speeding away
Your breath is held with uncertainty
Like trapped smoke
Unable to play and swirl in the air
How could I hurt you
With these hands that only know
Of tenderness and sweet caress
How could I harm you
With words as soft and luminous as moonlight
Look at me
See how I tremble like a reed in the wind
Embrace me
Feel how I melt in the warmth of your arms
Touch me, knead me, breathe me
Taste the fulfilled promise
Of rain falling on parched land
