DOWNLOAD THE BOOK FOR FREE!

CANVAS is committed to making our stories as accessible and affordable as possible for everyone to enjoy. Feel free to download, save, and print out "Message in the Sand."

To download, please click here.

We only request that you don't make copies for your friends (not that we would know anyway). Rather, if you really like the story and the artworks, and want to share it with your friends, point them our way to www.canvas.ph, so they can download, save, print out, and hopefully forward the site to even more friends.

BUY THE BOOK!

A very limited number of hardbound "Message in the Sand" books is also available. If interested in ordering (while supplies last), please email info@canvas.ph.

Most frequently asked question: Why would I want to buy the book, when I can download it for free?

  1. The e-book is especially laid out for optimal viewing on the web, and as a flip book to make it easy for people to print out. But, while the e-book is great, the hardbound version is even better and is laid out differently.

Our books have garnered citations and awards not only for the stories, but also for all-around excellence. We've won the Gintong Aklat ("Golden Book") Award which subjects books to close scrutiny by three professional panels in book manufacture and design, writing and editing. Entries must merit an excellent rating in each aspect of bookmaking in order to qualify for the award. A book winner of the Gintong Aklat therefore will have been judged not only on its contents but on its totality as a book. "Message in the Sand" continues our proud commitment to quality.

  2. It's a collector's item (only 1,000 copies have been ordered), and it's affordable! For now, the hardbound version costs only P895.00 or $18.50 plus shipping. We do reserve the right to adjust the price as supplies dwindle. (Softbound editions will also be available in all local bookstores in 2009.)

  3. Most importantly, proceeds from the sale of our books help to support efforts to promote greater awareness and appreciation for Philippine art, culture and the environment.

Second most frequently asked question (we wish): How else can I help to support CANVAS?

  1. Visit our online store at www.canvasdownstream.com. A complete range of giftware featuring the art from all of our books is available there.

  2. Buy our other books. All our books are available at Fully Booked, the Ayala Museum and at 1/of Gallery in Serendra. You can also email us at info@canvas.ph to place an order for any of our books.

  3. Shipping to the US and Europe from the Philippines is terribly expensive. So we're looking to partner with a publisher in those markets. If you like our books and happen to know a good publisher, please tell them about us!

  4. And, needless to say, just telling all your friends about CANVAS, Looking for Juan, and Canvas Downstream will greatly help and will be deeply appreciated!

One final question, I loved your e-book for "Message in the Sand." What about your other books?

We're working on it. Come back often, we will be posting more e-books to download for free
in the near future.
