About Angelo Suarez
Angelo V. Suarez, 23, advocates collaborative verbo-visual performance and intermedia poetics. He recently co-authored the typographic project "Dissonant Umbrellas: Notes Toward a Gesamtkunstwerk" with nine visual artists.
He also wrote the poetry books "else it was purely girls" and "The Nymph of MTV," for which he received the National Book Award from the Manila Critics Circle and the Bridges of Struga Poetry Prize from UNESCO and the Republic of Macedonia. He has also received prizes from the Maningning Miclat and Carlos Palanca Foundations for his poetry.
A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Angelo currently works as an advertising copywriter and part-time teacher.
