Kapag binabanggit ko ang mga ito kay Tatay, nangingiti lang siya sa akin. “Mahilig ka kasing manood ng mga paborito mong superheroes sa TV,” sinasabi niya. “Kaya dala mo hanggang sa panaginip ang paglipad tulad nila.”

In my dreams I am always in flight.

My father is moved to smile each time I tell him my dreams. “That’s the effect of watching your favorite superheroes too much on TV,” he would say. “You always think of flying like them, even in your sleep.”
